I am a Kirk supporter, have been for years but his value may be as high as it can get right now. The Jets think they have a super bowl team and they have no QB.
Kirk is on a 1-year deal and will require a really big number to resign.
The Vikings clearly have some nice pieces to build around, Darrisaw, Jefferson, Addison, O'Neill, and a handful of tight ends. Other than that, they have a bunch of guys, but the only real standouts are in their twilight.
I believe we are better than our 0-2 record, but not near as good as our 13-4 record last year. Could we win the NFC N? Sure, but then what?
In the 20 offseason I really thought it was time for a tank year, I was all about getting Trevor Lawerence. That tank job really did necessarily involve trades, but still could have moved on some players. Most of them are gone now. We do still have some pieces that could be moved.
Hunter on his last year deal is also a glaring TRADE sign that should be acted on if we can get the high value that he should bring.
It's time to at least have a conversation and start to map out a real roadmap to a super bowl level team, which we are currently not, but not as far away from it has to be.
