I wonder what the Jets would give us for Cousins (assuming Kirk waives his NTC, and why wouldn't he?) I'm not sure what picks they have left to offer. We won't be able to pay Kirk after this year anyway because we need to sign JJ and Darrisaw. If Kwesi isn't having regular discussions with the Jets GM that is just negligence.

Realistically, a 2025 3 which escalates to a 2 if Jets make playoffs. Jets already traded 2024 2 and wonβt trade 1 for a one year rental.

They canβt trade that 1st until the conditions are met under their deal with Rogers. It is a technicality at this point with the injury but itβs still valid.
Essentially they have no draft capital to offer.
Kirk has a no trade clause.
KAM is in boiling water from the poor draft picks and roster construction.
No chance this will happen. Itβs just Friday morning talk show fodder from the NY media.

Kirk is an iron man and the Jets are set up for a SB run this season. I'm not sure if the Jets are as dumb as we were, but I would at least demand a conditional 1 if Cousins takes them to the playoffs, even if it's not next year's 1.

Jets are losing by 7, so maybe this is for the best. Trade Kirk to the desperate Jets since heβll be gone after this season anyway.
