The article is talking about asking professional athletes to lose games and not try their best. What I'm talking about is getting trade value now for Cousins, who will walk away for nothing next year, or else be extended past his likely "use by" date.

You never want your athletes to hold back. But by trying their best and still losing because your QB sucks is a different story. Everyone talks about pissing off JJ. When was the last time the SB winner also had the best WR in the game? Look at the pedestrian WRโs that played in the last SB. Then look at the QBโs. The blueprint is clear. Daunte had Moss and Carter and still never sniffed the SB. Think that would have changed if we had Manning, Brady, or prime Favre as our QB?

It was aimed at the Tank for a better draft pick crowd.ย ย But we all know that trading Cousins would result in a tanked season, unless we magically find that Hall is the second coming (or maybe third, if Purdy gets healthy and continues to play as he did last year) of Tom Brady. When I say trade Cousins, I'm not talking about bringing in someone like Trey Lance (shudder). I'm looking for draft capital.
