April 19 2023 I've been too busy to mock the draft. But some thoughts.
This year, the Vikes are looking to get a QB. I think they are willing to trade up. Especially as Levis is probably their target. Liam Coen, a former Rams coach who would know O'Connell, was his coach this year. I see them trading with the Lions to get the #6 pick. The Vikes give 1.23 from this year, 2024 first round, and a fourth (119, originally the Lions pick) from this year to move up. Also, Vikes trade Dalvin Cook for a 6th round pick. His value is low because he could be cut. Draft goes like this:
1 #6 Will Levis QB. 3 #87 Rashee Rice, WR. Deep threat. 5 #158 Starling Thomas V CB. 6.#211 Owen Pappoe, LB 6. ? YaYa Diabe, DE
Still some weaknesses on the roster, but addressing QB will be key in the years to come.

Why would the Lions be willing to trade?
1. The value is there. 2. Vikes committing to a new QB probably set the vikes back for a year or two. Window opens for the Lions. On the other hand, spending a lot of draft capital on a QB constrains the team for a year or two and longer if the QB doesn't work out. 3. Insurance in case Jared Goff is not seen as a good option after another year. They want first round draft picks to maneuver for a QB next year.

One revision. April 27, 2023. 9am. ET.
OK. Trading up to 6 is costly. I like trading up to 10 better. Vikes trade #1, Hunter, and #3 next year to move up to 10. Also, trade Cook for a 4th this year. Draft goes like this:
1. Will Levis, QB 3. Rashee Rice, WR. 4. Cory Trice,CB. 5. Starling Thomas,CB. 6. YaYa Diabe, DE.
