I was thinking last night, you guys don't think Kwesi would go after him do you? I do not want him on the team.

I guess $290 million isn't what it used to be.

over hyped 1 trick pony... eh, no thanks Not arguing Vikes should sign him but how is a qb who essentially has thrown for ~ 2800 yds+ and run for ~1000 more for three straight seasons a βone trick ponyβ? His stats were a little low last year due to injuries but if healthy he is probably a 3000/1000 qb again this year. I am wary of these qbs (including Kirk) who want all this guaranteed money but with a limited career time I donβt know if you can blame players for trying to get every dollar they can.

if you make him a passer, he is less than average IMHO.

if you make him a passer, he is less than average IMHO. I don't think I'd want to commit that type of money to a QB who runs that much... But Lamar is 37-12 in his career... if that is one trick pony... that is a very talented pony with a very effective trick. Add in... I wouldn't say there are a lot of superstar skill players in recent years on the Ravens. He is an enigma... fun to watch, don't know if he can take them to the mountain.

All these star QBs seem to be heading the same way --- taking up a massive chunk of the salary cap.
I'd probably rather pay $45M to have a 26 yr old Jackson under center in 2023 compared to $45M for a 35 year old Cousins. Or do people think Cousins will play under his contract in 2023 without renegotiating it again to get more money?

If he accepted that contract have made made him 3rd highest paid QB in his own division ( out of 4 )
Thats why he refused
I donβt think Baltimore wants him long term
