Iβve already seen and heard enough of Jesse Davis to hope he is in the next round of cuts,

This feels a little concerning to me, because out of the two obviously Mannion is going to be more valuable, I can't imagine Mond being able to add much to support Kirk, while Mannion while he doesn't have the best skills has more experience and would be more of a "coach" than Mond.

That was a nice pass from Mannion and a good catch ISM.

Kevin Seifert Tweet - Team drills have begun here with the Vikings and 49ers. Ed Ingram is working with the first team at right guard.

"Interesting play near the goal line. Vikings lined up in 12 personnel with Thielen and Jefferson lined up as twins on the left. Motioned Thielen to the right. Then motioned Jefferson over who then sprinted into the flat wide-open for the touchdown."
"Another nice play call by OβConnell, now with Jefferson in motion, Cousins finds him in the corner for the easy TD.. niners didnβt like it and defensive player slammed JJ to the ground hard"
"today may have solidified Ed Ingram as RG1 to start the season."
"Christian Darrisaw is impressed with rookie guard Ed Ingram: βEdβs a stud. Heβs one of the good ones, for sure. Iβm glad heβs on our team. Heβs getting better every day, heβs taking the coaching and putting it out on the field. The skyβs the limit.β
I like reading this, save for the last bit against JJ. It's refreshing that our offense will see some creativity to help open things up and keep the opposition on their toes for a change.

Yes I get that he got bowled over and was on his butt for a play during joint practices, but by all accounts he's been better than Wyatt Davis all camp. So if J. Davis is a turd in your punch bowl -- I don't know what W.Davis would be.
That said, I fully expect the staff to give W.Davis a chance to take the backup spot, for instance more reps with 2nd unit during next couple PS games. Just because he's younger and cheaper. But I wouldn't hold my breath that W. Davis is able to show he's more valuable than J Davis as a swing backup OL guy.
