or in the last 5 minutes of the game A fumbled ball may be recovered and advanced by either team (except, in American football, after the two-minute warning in either half or 4th down, when the fumbler is the only offensive player allowed to advance the ball, otherwise the ball is ruled dead at the spot of fumble, except when it is recovered for a loss. Ok, I was sure it was the last 5 minutes, that was at 2:02, Raiders made it by 2 seconds.

My starting Interior OL next game would be Ingram-Reed-Hinton. Don't need to see anymore of the Bradbury with Cleveland/Davis this preseason. Hinton started off as a center. I would like to see O’Neil Ingram Hinton Cleveland Darrisaw Reed Udoh Davis key backups next best 2 after them Brandel because of versatility. Probably have to keep Bradbury. I don’t think we could trade him Darrisaw Cleveland Hinton Ingram O’Neil would be my choice

That's because the book on Mannion is bring the heat. He can't do shit when it's coming Yeah, that seems to be the modus operandi for defenses the past 3-5 years. I think in years gone by, there was this unwritten rule in preseason to keep blitzes to a minimum; don't think that's the case anymore. I'm assuming with the CBA limited practices, coaches feel the need to do that. I'm not against it; trial by fire, I guess that's why the majority of teams leave their veteran QB's on the sidelines during preseason. I think this game cements the feelings of 99% of Purple fans; Mannion isn't even an NFL backup QB and Mond has LOTS of work to do to even become a backup QB. I suspect The Purple allow Mannion to play one more pre season game and then when cuts start happening, they'll drop him and pick up a "slightly more seasoned" backup QB. I think you're very, very wrong. 99% of the fans do NOT think Mond is that far back. I don't understand the tight little group of fans on this board whose entire schtick is to crap on every and all Viking QBs. No, sorry, neither Mond or Cousins are Mahommes, Burrows, or Allen, but neither are a boatload of other QBs, and they never will be. Still, it would be nice if people started looking at our QBs without such envy of the teams that HAVE those 3 QBs. Your envy is NOT going to have any one of the three suddenly sprout purple. There's a reason those guys were all drafted top 10. Mond had no chance last year. He was nothing more than a symbol of the war between Zimmer and Spielman, and got exactly zero development as a result. This was essentially his real welcome to the NFL. I remember both Brett Favre's and Aaron Rodger's first games, and neither of them looked any better than Kellen Mond did today. I'm not saying he's going to equal either of them, but I WILL say none of us can say he won't either. I will also say that 2nd half scramble he made was EXTREMELY Tarkentonesque -- and he never took his eye off looking downfield while he did it. Now THAT has value! No, I think there are plenty of fans who aren't ready to throw Mond under the bus just because he played like the rook he really is. Most of his passes were on the money and a QB who can scramble like that has value. He doesn't scramble like Lamar Jackson (trying to gain yards), he scrambles like Fran Tarkenton (waiting for a target to get open.) I haven't seen that in purple for 48 years, and I want to see more of it! IMO, Mond earned QB2 hands down tonight. The talent is there.

I don’t crap on all QB’s on this team and am one of Cousin’s few supporters. But Mond is not a Rookie. Just because zmond didn’t play in a game in year 1 doesn’t mean he wasn’t being coached up and learning how to be a pro.
I did not like the pick when we made it, I don’t like the pick now and most of what I saw today doesn’t give me hope, it makes me feel justified. Most of his success came against the Raiders 3rd stringers. He takes way to long to process, when he does scramble he doesn’t see the field well and when he does throw on the run he’s inaccurate. He’s hesitant, he’s slow in progressions and his mechanics are painful to watch. I don’t think he’ll ever be consistent as he never throws the ball twice the same way. Do I think he’s better than Mannion… yes. He threw a nice slant for the TD and he showed a nice touch on the corner TD. That’s about the extent of my good comments regarding KM. The rest of his throws were mostly 10 yard throws to the middle of the field… not exactly a tough throw for any QB. I really dislike Zimmer, but I can fully understand his comment last year …but saying it publicly was in really poor taste.
Vikings need a QB 2. If we have to run either of these 2 idiots out there against any teams #1 D it’s going to be a loss!!

The talent is there. i actually thought Mond played pretty good Reports are correct that he is processing the reads to slow and hopefully that improves with reps i can see the potential there, QB2 potential but potential none the less.

You seem to think he should be playing like a chocolate rich sundae in a tastless vanilla offense. He played to KOC's play calling. It was enough for most of us to see his promise.
