If Cam could accept a backup role, he's be a lot better than Mond or Mannion, but what's the scoop on his ability/desire to study and learn a new system? I thought that was his biggest issue in New England. Respectfully disagree. I live in MA and watch several Pats games a year. Newton has been complete garbage for the last couple years, he has nothing left in the tank. Less accurate than Donovan McNabb was for us that one season, coupled with a complete lack of desire/ability to learn a playbook. All he had was a tiny shred of his old running ability, and even that abandoned him about midway through 2021 with some nagging injuries, including one to his throwing shoulder. Hard pass. I feel more comfortable with Mannion running the offense, at least that way we might score 3 points a game. Ok, thanks. I was only remembering the comments last year that Jones had a better grasp of the playbook than Cam (which is reason enough not to want him), but not the rest.

I'd take Cam over Mannion everyday and twice on Sunday.
You know it's bad (for both Mond and Mannion) if Vikings are actually considering still signing some unsigned QB. I assume they mean Vikes might try and steal someone they like if they are late cuts because there's not much left as unsigned free agents. Cam Newton? AJ McCarron? Blake Bortles? Mike Glennon? YIKES
i don't want Cam within a 60 mile radius of the Vikings at any time unless its as an opponent which i would take twice on any Sunday
