Will there be any QB's available late in the first round? Maybe Hendon Hooker will be available since he'll be coming off knee surgery

I think we will be 1 and done for the playoffs. Which is going to be disappointing since they choose to run it back. I think that how they find fish will decide cousins fate. I think KOC wants a mobile QB, which cousins is not Yep, with every win, we lose draft positioning. Poles and KAM took opposite routes. 3-5 years from now we shall see who was right. Yep,I think the wilfs didnt want to risk it, but I think we are going to be fight the next few years for a qb that KOC likes

We had the 12th pick and the Lions traded up 20 picks from 32. So why can't we go from 22-23 up to 3 or 4 and get Bryce Young?

90% of the QBs in the league will get that ball in the air.

Would you guys take a trade with the Ravens between Kirk and Jackson?
Kirk has done great at times for us but I just feel our oline still gets him killed. Jackson could offer a different approach and he has never played with good receivers other than Andrews.
Thought his injury concerns would probably make me not want to give more than a 3 year contract

Jackson is much younger - so yep! Thorough injury study is needed here. Unlike that done for the Rookie draft pick, Booth.

Jackson could offer a different approach and he has never played with good receivers other than Andrews. Thought his injury concerns would probably make me not want to give more than a 3 year contract I for one would never give "huge" money to a running QB. Yes I know dual threat seems to be where the position is headed but I look no farther than the outcome of these dual threat guys vs the pocket QBs. running QBs seem to have something in common, Injuries. Once they get one they never see to recapture thier top abilities. Jackson has now missed significant time the last 2 years and that has torpedoed the Ravens post season plans. I look at the runners that have been hurt and don't see long careers after dealing with injuries RG III and Daunte Cullpepper both had short careers after injuries ended their running days. Kordell Stewert, Doug Flutie, Randall Cunningham, McNabb, Vick, etc where duel threat guys that never got to the promis land. If you classify Steve Young as dual threat he would be the only 1 I can think of as a dual threat that won the SB, although he won when he became a better passer from the pocket in SF. Was Elway a dual threat? Again, he won once he learned to be a better pocket passer, and the Broncos got a running game. Look at the best QB to ever play the game Brady is nowhere near the runner as any listed above. He does everything in his power to stay in the pocket. Hurts get hurt in Philly and they ate instantly a different team. Kyler Murray gets hurt running, Tua gets hurt running, I just don't see mobil, dual threat QBs as sustainable QB play, and the risk of injury leads me to avaid them as long term high $ fits for the position. I want my QB to have the ability to get out of harms way, but do eberything he can to get the ball out of his hands and into the hands of the playmakers down field or in the open field where they can make plays.

Absolutely not would I trade for Lamar. Like RF I find the βdual threatβ qb concept ridiculous. Itβs one thing to have the ability to scramble or move around the pocketβ¦ but to me the reason most of these dual threat QBβs run so much is because they Arenβt good enuf QBβs to read defenses and find the open receivers. Itβs also why despite several great dual threats almost none have led their teams to SBβs.
I also agree that taking a QB is a huge investment in Draft capital and eventual moneyβ¦. But all no dual threat QB is playing into their late 30s with any effectiveness like many of the great pocket QBβs.
I think the game has moved this way because the college game has changed and the quality of the QBβs coming out is lower. But that doesnβt mean finding a Joe Burrow isnβt still the best long term solution vs Fields. Iβll take Joe all day every day over a βDual threatβ and that includes Allen.

I'll be pretty damn disappointed if they extend him before JJ or Hockenson.Β Here is the problem... You have to figure out what you are doing with Kirk before you can deal with the rest of the contracts. Jettison him into space! But seriously he needs to go. He is never going to be good enough for us to win it all, but he is good enough to destroy our cap and draft picks
