Mannion is equal to Cousins in that he keeps getting paid with out producing.

That tells me they plan on drafting a qb next year.

Don’t matter to me as long as we keep pulling the QB lever in rounds 1-3 every year till one sticks.

Enhanced scoring is normal, but the Vikings were way above the average that it was getting ridiculous. I've posted this before: Vikings allowed TDs 32% of the time in 2 minute drills. The #31 team allowed TDs 20% of the time and the league average was 12%. There were 686 NFL teams between ~2000 and 2021. Vikings D ranked 686th. Vikings D was bad only because there isn't another word in English that truly represents how atrocious they were. but its that blasted QB who was all at fault dont you know?

Being 26th in 3rd down conversions is at least in part due to the QB. Mostly due to play calling and having a terrible OL, but also some portion belongs to Cousins.

So what’s your excuse for Kirk in 2018 when we had a good defense? Oh, that’s right, it was the offensive lines fault. Kirk is a hall of famer being held back from winning by everyone around him. Poor guy, if he didn’t have bad luck, he’d have no luck at all.

Possible, but look closely when he drops back to pass and read his lips when he sees the pass rush coming right at him like an unimpeded stampede. "Mommy" doesn't bode well for a completed pass.

Thanks for recognizing that fact.

Kirk Cousins is 61-62-2 in his career. Screams MVP but never on him NO, the TEAMS he was on were 61-62-2. He's an NFL QB, not a major league pitcher who can, and DO, win and lose games by themselves. Matt Stafford went 0-16 one year with the Lions, and MANY years of 3-13, 4-12, etc, etc, then won a SB his first year with the Rams. It takes a TEAM in football.

Matt Stafford went 0-16 one year with the Lions, and MANY years of 3-13, 4-12, etc, etc, then won a SB his first year with the Rams. It takes a TEAM in football. I would say that an NFL QB can win or lose games for his team, although I agree that there's much more of a requirement to have a complete team effort in the NFL. For example, there's a direct correlation between turnover differential and win probability. There's a reason that guys like Blake Bortles aren't starters in the NFL more than a few years. Being careless with the football is why I was calling for Cousins's head early in the 2020 season. Being able to coordinate a drive when you really need points is a way that a QB can put his team in position to win. Cousins's improvement in these two areas is why I started to give him credit midseason last year. I've also said before that Zimmer's a$$hole attitude toward Cousins might have been a deciding factor in Cousins's improvement in both areas, and if that's true, the question will be whether Cousins can maintain his high level of play under new management, or whether he will revert to his careless, sloppy play of early 2020.
