I would say there's a zero percent chance that Lance makes it to 14.

I just saw a mock (seen quite a few lately, so don't remember whose this was) that had Sewell, Slater and Vera-Tucker off the board, and Trey Lance still available. They had the WFT trade up for Lance, and the Vikings landing Darrisaw at 19. They did not conjecture how much it would cost a team to move from 19 to 14. But they did say that if lance fell that far a bidding war would ensue... I'm sure Vikes would love that -- they likely won't get great value in a trade down unless it's a QB. According to draft chart, moving from 14 to 19 would be something like WFT gets #11 MIN gets #19 (1st)/#74 (high 3rd) and maybe a 6th Vikes could then probably package 74 with say #90 and get back into mid-2nd round (~pick #54)
So Vikes would get #19 (1st), #54 (2nd), 78 (3rd) and then 4 picks in 4th round I could see that being ok. Obviously if Trey was to work out, people would forever 2nd guess Rick but I could see him doing a deal like this, should Trey fall.
I do not see compensation being much different whether it is a QB or not available at #14. It is still the #14 pick. Only thing with Washington that would help us would be that picks 10-12 are all in division so they are unlikely to trade into those spots. If a QB lasts to #14 enough QB needy teams have already passed on them enough I do not see the glaring trade value. Knowing Fields has epilepsy certainly makes me wonder if he is not the guy who tumbles at this point. To get a 2nd from WFT the Vikes could throw in a 4th or something to sweeten it. More importantly I think a player will be there at #14 the team wants.

Mixed opinions on this board about Cousins... but I think most can agree he isn't a top 10 QB. So, you take a possible franchise QB every time one is available at your spot.
If you don't have a QB of the future... you have no QB.

Those commercials are hilarious and I find a lot of similarities with my father! And I love the juxtaposing against someone who has an icon of Joe Walsh!
