I would not have guessed that I copied and pasted it - I didn't check for accuracy - hope it's correct LOL It's not.

Let's face it......GB made it deep in the playoffs. A couple good additions through fa and or the draft and they are a better team. As a Vikings fan it's great to wonder where they would be without AR but common sense tells me that GB will do everything in their power to ensure AR will be back. I'd be completed shocked if any other scenario played out.

Rodgers is under contract for the next 3 years in GB which means he doesn't have much leverage. Yes, he can threaten to hold out but he's 37 years old. How much time is he willing to miss to squeeze more money out of GB. Plus he knows that any additional money going to him will need to be covered by cutting other guys and weakening the team. Does AR want to win another SB before he retires or pump every last million into his bank account. I'm sure GB will re-work his contract to give him some more guaranteed money to protect against injury and maybe a bit of a bump in cash but not enough to hurt their ability to fill out the roster.

Rodgers is coming off a fantastic season, but age is working against him here. Some people, myself included, thought he was regressing coming into this past season. He wasn't rapidly regressing, but his level of play had taken a step back IMO. Clearly he reversed course elevated his play, but contractually teams pay for future productivity. If Rodgers were 30 years old it's a pretty good bet that he'd be playing at a high level for the next 5-7 years. At 37 years old, Aaron Rodgers productivity could fall off as soon as next season. The fact that he's signed for 3 more seasons isn't helpful to his cause either.
Does Rodgers have trade value? Clearly he does, but what team is going to give away a lot of draft capital AND have to renegotiate his contract. And how many years would that contract have to be? For someone who is going to turn 38 before the end of next season, giving up a couple of first rounder (or even a first and a second) and signing him at $40 million per is a lot to ask. Some team, one that believes they are SO CLOSE and only a QB away from winning a SB could be a trade partner, but it's also possible that Rodgers is "stuck" in GB with his current contract.

They drafted Love to motivate him and it worked. But after LaFluer's gutless call in the NFCC, pouty Aaron reemerged at the post game presser. I'm guessing that's who stays out front in 2021 and the decline in his game resumes. He will want out and next year will be his last in Green Bay.

Aaron Rodgers is 0-42 in his career when trailing by more than a point in the 4th quarter against a team with a winning record. Stats are fun. So 1-11-2015 against Dallas (12-4) in playoff game they were down 21-20 going into the 4th Quarter and won 26-21. That took 3 minutes to find. The actual stat is "Trailing by more than 1 point" so basically when trailing by two points or more. That's why I said it was a strange stat, it fooled be at first, I mean, you can't trail by less than a point, but when I reread it, I realized it was not trailing by 1 point or more, it's trailing by more than one point
