Not going to profess to know any of these kids. I see people excited about the DE and CB we signed. Whatβs the knock on them that caused them to fall and go undrafted? I saw someone post the CB had 2nd highest rating and went to LasU and then transferred to Ark. So, itβs not like the kid was a small school player that should be under the radar or have ?βs about the competition in his tape. Appreciate any feedback many draft sites are high on Murphy and McGlothern and both were expected to be drafted by most. Murphy may have been bypassed due to his size but he was extremely productive at UCLA. McGlothern, I don't know... he looks the part, and clearly had a very good season at Ark. Richter was also very productive at Air Force but will have the same issue as Andre Carter II had last year coming in from a service academy. McGlothern had some injuries last year I guess.

When you have 170+ kids with draft grades of Round 5,6,7 some of them are not going to get drafted.
Teams have different systems and needs and so some are going to hear their name and some are not. It isn't like there is much talent/measurable difference between a Round 6 guy and some UDFAs.
Both have things they need to work on and both have traits that might allow them to find success and contribute at the NFL level.
I think KAM and his scouting staff do a nice job of identifying UDFAs with traits that 'might' allow them to develop and help the Vikings. Odds are against them but they have a chance. IMO a guy like McGlothern was a great sign and has a higher chance than most.

I hope Taki Taimani comes into TC in better shape than Calvin Avery did last year. He could impress at NT.
Tyler Manoa has size, not much else...maybe a PS spot for him...

I watched Murphy play in several games; what a great pick up; very surprised he didn't get drafted. I believe they had him at no later then a top 4th or even a lower 3rd rounder. He and his brother played on the defensive side of the ball; extremely competitive; both of them. One always trying to out do the other; they raised a lot of havoc against their opponents.
I believe he can make the 53 man roster' he has a motor that won't quit; Turner and him are going to be fun to watch in training camp; not saying he's at the same level as Turner, but Turner will replace his brother as his competition/competitor. He has a great chance to knock out one of the edge guys we already have on board.
He's similar to Wonnum, but ahead of him when he got here.
I had him in the 4th round in my wishlist "5-10 Targets Per Round" thread. His explosive measurements are insane and he has a high motor to boot. If the kid was 2" taller, 15 pounds heavier, and had slightly longer arms he's a late Day 1/early Day 2 pick. Very nice acquisition by KAM.
