I have favorites like most, but I have no clue which QB will turn into the best and if we are being honestβ¦.neither do they. Because of thisβ¦. Iβll be mostly disappointed if they trade up at a cost of 3 1sts. My preference, provided nothing with Atl develops last minute is to 1). Stay put, 2) move back slightly from 11 if bidding is still high getting a 2nd this year or 1st next and 3). move up but not overdraft AND overpay! Three will be hard to do. My biggest concern at the moment goes back to the post Iβm getting blasted ifor about K being on a hot seat. Iβd prefer our GM work the draft and make the most of what comes to themβ¦ my fear is weβll do something crazy because he feels pressure to make a splash or land a specific player setting the team back years if we get it wrong while missing several big talents. Whatβs done is done, the future has some cap flex, I like our coaches but we really need to land some difference makers in this draft. In my eyes that doesnβt have to be a QBβ¦. This year. If it happens great, if it doesnβt so be it as long as we get several difference makers. Happy draft day everyoneβ¦ hopefully this we get this draft right and set this team on a path to a SB in a few years! Three firsts is the going rate. It's not an overpay. Bottom line is it all comes down to the guy we get and if he succeeds.

Pretty excited about the draft and the future for this team.Β I like a LOT of our players and think we are on a nice path forward.Β Β Really don't have much opinion on who we select and going to leave that to the experts.Β Β I am confident the board will be amusing tonite.Β Could be a little crazy around here if the Vikings decided to just roll with Darnold and Hall while taking strong talent at other positions.Β Β Letβs be honest on Darnoldβ¦maybe it finally clicks with KOC. Iβve been critical of the signing but itβs also not so dumb, heβs 26 and been treated like crap on the Jets and Panthers. There was no way the 49ers were going to replace Purdy based on what he did the previous year. For me itβs 50/50 we draft a QB at all, if we donβt Iβm hoping itβs a DL or CB and a OL in the first 2 picks.

Show me the last time thatβs panned out? Good luck!! That is dependent on the player that teams have traded up for. The picks given up would also need to be analyzed as to whom they turn out to be. I am going to enjoy the draft and not worry about that but instead be eager for the guy we get to succeed, not wallow in trying to push my agenda.

Show me the last time thatβs panned out? Good luck!! My prediction on how your night is going to go. Vikings give up 3 firsts to trade up for a QB. Some other QB drops to 11 and you will post endlessly about how the Vikings should have stayed put and wait for the QB to drop and save the draft picks, even though that wasn't the player the Vikings wanted.

I'd say i's 90% likely we take 1 in the first round (10% chance we're not high on 1 of the top 6 and that's the only QB left by 11 so we take Rattler in the 2nd Rd)

I see that the consternation is already bubbling.

I am genuinely excited for tonight. I usually don't that get excited for the draft, but with 6 QBs, I just feel like there is so much game theory at stake to unfold tonight.
- Do we have to trade up because LAS or DEN bluffed enough that we don't want to risk them trading up?
-What does harrough try to do for the Chargers?
-Can the Giants fleece a team into thinking they are going QB and a QB hungry team ahs to trade in front of them only for the Giants to take who they were really targeting? -Does NE risk not taking the QB they are eying because a team offers them a boat load of picks? -Do the Cards trade down starting the run on QBs?
Just so many scenarios. I'd be curious how many 'realistic' scenarios the Vikings have mapped out

Of course they will. They go crazy over who vikes drafted in the 6th round if itβs not their guy.
Personally I think the success of a rookie qb is often more a reflection of their situation than just their talent. I wonβt be at all surprised if the Bears, Commanders and Patriots ruin all three top QBs. Only bears have talent but they have ruined so many QBs I think they can screw up another. Whoeverβs at DC or Boston is likely going to be like Zach Wilson going to Jets.
If KOC can get solid numbers with Nick Mullens (outside his INTs), I think they can do ok with just about any qb (Darnold or rookie like Penix or Nix). If they can be a more accurate Mullens weβre still probably a 6 win team minimum. So Iβll be in minority as someone whoβs ok if they stay at 11 and take whoever falls to them and gets BPA at 23. But if they sell the farm for a top pick, we at least know thatβs because KOC really wants him so Iβll support that too.

There are reasons to love any of the 6 QBs and reasons to hate any of them. I like Maye and JJ, but opinions vary greatly.
I just really want to keep the 2025 1st if possible. It may not be.
Who knows, maybe the draft falls in a way that our QB room is already set.

I just hope they don't reach for Nix or Rattler anywhere in the first round. Or take another WR.

we have to include the two second we gave up to get the second first this year so we in reality will have given up three first and two seconds can't remember what we got with the first from houston

we have to include the two second we gave up to get the second first this year so we in reality will have given up three first and two seconds can't remember what we got with the first from houston Bad math. You can view it as (3) 1st rounders or (2) 1st rounders and (2) 2nd rounders. It is absolutely incorrect to suggest that it is (3) 1st and (2) 2nd rounders.
