Don't be surprised if the Vikes trade 11,23, 2025 1st and 2026 1st to NE for pick three and a 2025 2nd. I know this may blow some minds, but it's a very likely scenario. What if Three years of first round picks saved If this happens, IMO, it's JJM at 11 and Cooper Beebe at 23 or we move back and pick up some 2nd rounders and get him then. I'm telling you, this kid is the real deal at G and will be our next closest thing to Hutch for years.

If only, but not gonna happen. People are starting say it could happen. Please keep the picks Kwesi. I beg of you If you were the Giants, why in the heck would you not take a QB. Daniel Jones stinks.

Don't they have to keep Jones for now? And didn't they bring in a qb? And don't they still have Tommy Cutlets? It seems weird to bring another qb in

Thing is, if he doesn't get the guy, he's gone, if he does get the guy, he gets at least one more year, so he has nothing to lose. Wait wut? Spielman gets 10 years but Kwes is already halfway out the door? I think heβs safe for the next couple of years, even he doesnβt procure one the princelings Knock it off, Doug. Nobody wants common sense 2 days before the draft.

It seems weird to bring another qb in Jones only has this year in guaranteed money. They can release him next year with no hit. Tommy Devito was a nice Josh Dobbs. They want a QB. Whether or not they think McCarthy is the guy they want, I don't know.

If the giants wanted a qb why would they be telling us, releasing rumors and stories about how they might want this guy or that guy? Pre draft bullshit is all it is.

Jones Dead Cap Hits 2024 69M 2025 22M 2026 11M
My guess is this article is bullsheet. Giants won't go QB. If they do I hope they go Maye. I am hearing too many problems with Maye.

Could see a flurry of early trades in this draft. As far as Kwesi? This draft will separate the men from the boys.

I think KOC will have a huge say in who the new QB is if they draft one.
I also believe both KAM and KOC will sign contract extensions during the next offseason.

The 22 and 11 are nothing, the Vikes took 28 mill on Cousins this year. I don't know if the church interview with KOC was him spewing disinformation, but if he wasn't, he was all but saying the Vikes want to trade up to 3 to get Maye. Along with an out of the Blue Hire of McCown who happened to be Drake Mayes high school coach, there a lot of smoke out there pointing to Maye. I'm also sure that the Patriots are not trading with the Vikings unless the get 4 first rounders. Like I said, the vikes could get a 2nd or 3rd back in that trade. If KOC wants Maye and he ends up being the guy, those 4 1st rounders are not too high a price to pay. There are also stories out there that if the Vikes don't get Maye, they don't trade up and will go with Nix at 23. If that happens, I'm gonna be upset they didn't give up the 4 first rounders.

I don't believe the Pats are going to get the big offers many posters expect.
Also I think if Vikings stay put and draft Nix you should wait and see if he is better than Maye before you are upset. Maye is far from a sure thing.

I think everything is on the table at this moment. Trade up using multiple picks, staying put and picking best QB available, and even not picking any QBs in this draft. Its nuts how there is no consensus on what the Vikes will do because I dont think anyone has a clue as to how this draft will unfold to trigger those decisions. Way too many different factors involved.
But one thing Ive come to grips with more recently is the possibility of multi year picks to move up. I hate giving up all that value and potential of high draft picks. But then I look back at past drafts and see we've spent numerous high draft choices on really bad players. And somehow we survived and stayed competitive. So wasting high picks is nothing new to the Vikings.
And surviving bad high draft picks is far more detrimental to the team than not having picked the bad player at all. Often those bad players are given a starting role based merely on where they were drafted. That playing time is wasted on these guys when it could have been spent on developing another player (drafted lower) who might have succeeded if he had the opportunity for playing time.

All teams miss on some draft picks. They are a bit overrated because the process is exciting and fun.
The 49ers survived giving away a boatload for Trey Lance. And yes they got lucky with Purdy but I think Shanahan would have found a way to survice it anyway.
Lot of people say the Vikings 2023 class was nothing special. Then when you look at PFF grade by production it was the 6th best class of that draft.
The cost of moving up doesn't worry me. getting the right guy is what worries me because it is so hard to judge QBs.
