It dawned on me suddenly that it is kind of what Kam is doing. Straight up analysis and living on the cheap. Of course ownership has to be on board.
I donβt mean this as an attack on any approach just wondering what you all think. I think it might work:
I would say obviously they have to hit on the QB to make it work ultimately.
Ps was trying to use a different word for analysis t it was changed to departed filly lol

MLB does not have a salary cap like the NFL does... the Vikings spending up to the cap every year is not KAM "playing it cheap".

In addition, NFL teams are required to spend a bare minimum of 89% of the cap total over a 4 year period. MLB is structured completely different financially from the players side.

Miller is a former baseball executive with Cleveland and Toronto who started his career at the birthplace of "Moneyball". CAM is Miller's guy and he's running Miller's vision of an a nalytics based front office and it's likely here to stay as long as Miller is calling the shots. A MLB team like the Dodgers/Yankees spend 10x of other franchises... NFL teams have to spend within 90-100% of each other.

I know perfectly how the mlb luxury tax works thank you, just found it interesting when i watched the movie, didnt want to get into a war which you seem to want to do. i like Kwesi's approach to the offseason and will enjoy watching our team.

I think your anger at pointing out the difference between a salary cap and a tax says a lot. i think your anger over my original post and your need to correct me says a lot more Meh; I simply pointed out an obvious difference between two different sport compensation systems... MLB teams being able to spend 2-10x more than smaller market teams was the entire basis of "Moneyball"

i think your anger over my original post and your need to correct me says a lot more Meh; I simply pointed out an obvious difference between two different sport compensation systems... which was the entire basis of "Moneyball" ok fair enough, i wasn't angry btw i do appreciate the info about the spending to the cap which i forgot there was that requirement. and i do think the a nalytics is playing a part in the approach which was also what moneyball was about and what i was trying to say. Kwesi is going with the lower costing player that a nalytics shows has the better chance of success at this point in their career. I like it.
