NFL general managers with seats in the press box at Notre Dame tonight to see Caleb Williams and others: Brandon Beane (Bills), Ryan Poles (Bears), Kwesi Adofo-Mensah (Vikings) and Joe Schoen (Giants).
Better start telling players to suck just a little bit more than they have been.

3 interceptions so far. Not a good look.

so far tonight he looks like the next Christian Ponder, late reads, late throws, throws into double coverage, jump pass for INT...
I've watched him before put up huge numbers against lesser teams, but he will have to do a lot better at the next level where he will go up against quality Ds week in and week out.

Said it in an earlier thread re: Williams - I really don’t get the crazy hype. USC QBs are generally overhyped though.
I’ll take Maye or McCarthy at this point.

To me, McCarthy and Maye are the least risk of the QBs in this class. McCarthy is getting great coaching, is very mobile and has a cannon for an arm, and as much as it pains me to give any credit to a UNC player, Maye does a great job reading the defense and is mobile enough to make you pay and also appears to have a really solid arm.
Pennix and his injuries scare me, Nix folds against good defenses, Ewers is wildly inaccurate at times

Pennix and his injuries scare me, Nix folds against good defenses, Ewers is wildly inaccurate at times I have to wait until McCarthy plays against a team that's not total crap. His slow release scares me, but he has a lot of great intangibles. I haven't watched Maye enough to make an informed comment. Pennix has terrible footwork an awkward throwing motion and is extremely injury prone. I haven't see a ton of Nix but would put him in front of Penix for sure. I still say Williams is far and away better than all these guys. He's going to be the number one pick unless he gets a devasting injury.

Maye is my favorite. He plays with an underwhelming team and is carrying them.
Williams has undeniable playmaking skills but doesn’t have the prototypical NFL build to survive.

Yeah Im not even considering Williams because I know we won't pick first overall and he will definitely go first and rightfully so. One poor showing against Notre Dame doesn't change his arm strength and playmaking abilities.
