Dang! Why's the Interweb so hard!?!? These late 60's versions as a Throwback are fantastic! As an oldie, I was around but can't recall seeing them in action. Dad never took me to the cold Met Home games, and we never had color TV until after 1970 - post that jersey. On a much bigger forum I frequent due to my obsession with sports uniforms/looks, it has been noted that the sleeves/no sleeves purple seen post these versions in the early '70's was due to materials. Archives depicted home games in the early parts of the season had one version of the jersey vs. later on the other. I can't recall which of the sleeve/none was the warmer cloth material, but this is how that could have factored into why in same season you could see each! The Vikes wore throwbacks to the 70's-80's versions before (2009 as Ham saw) with Favre/Peterson. Gray masks and helmet horn were the same. The pants stripe about the same (width debatable). Jersey stripes same but just an iron-on white block number w/o gold outline - not as good looking to me.

By in large the biggest effect is the all one color (jersey/pant) combinations. The White Out was cool to see.
But the old school look they brought out this year pays homage to my preteen years. During my teen they had white facemasks (which would be cool to see again).

Colts Oct 22 (this one is real) That is pretty solid. I also like the old school Seahawks jerseys too.

Should have went with the 1971-74 uniforms (sans the gold trim around the numbers and the shoulder stripes). Those are the best Viking uniforms IMO. Also the best helmet ever, with the dark purple

Also the best helmet ever, with the dark purple I also wouldn't mind having those classic Viking players back (Alan Page, Jeff Siemon and Paul Krause).
