Dual threat is nice and all, but getting massively overrated. Β Was Brock Purdy really much of a dual threat? Β Joe Barrow on the Bengals can move a bit, but anyone really view him as a runner? Β Hurtsβ still being on a rookie deal and the Eagles Oline have a lot of impact on their success. Β Meanwhile, Watson, Jackson, Murray, Wilson, Fields, Lanceβ¦Β Strange choices as both Burrow and Purdy are considered mobile? Mobile and dual threats are 2 different things. Nobody considers Burrow a threat as a runner. Heβs a pure pocket passer who will occasionally take off and run when nothing is open or there is a wide open lane to a 1st. In that regardβ¦ he isnβt that much different than Kirk aside from he does it more often. To be clearβ¦. Iβm not saying Kirk is as good as Burrow, but rather neither is going to put the fear of God in a defense. Neitherβs team is designing an offense around running plays for the QB like Allen, Hurts, Jackson, etc. AND like Cousins, Burrow is expected to be an on script QB, throwing predominately timing routes from the pocket unless itβs a designed bootleg off play action.
