Iβve been a huge critic of Kirk who this year became a fan. The team finally gave Kirk a good HC and an average OL and he had a strong year, often bailing out a piss poor defense. He was sacked and hit more than any QB in the league and still had like 4800 yards passing. Now having said that, Kirk is going to be 35 and makes a lot money. Eventually the team will have to replace him. Another point in Kirkβs favor is that the guy is tough and never gets hurt. How much did Lamar help the ravens this weekend? The question is, if not Kirk then who? I donβt have patience for posters that bitch about Kirk and then just say we need to get a good, young mobile QB. Thanks, genius. Whatβs your plan. Is there a QB that will be available at 23 who will be better than Kirk? Is there a guy in FA that is younger and more mobile? Are you will to trade multiple high picks in 2024 and 2025 to move from 23 to the top 10 to get a guy coming out this year? My guess is that the Vikings will let Kirk play out his contract in 2023. They will use the draft and limited cap to try and fix the defense and see if they can make a deeper run next year. If that fails, the team will move on from Kirk and probably go all in to get a QB in the 2024 draft. I agree. Even if we got the QB of the future with our #1 pick, we still have to rebuild the defense. Ranking #30 and #31 the last two years isnβt a fluke. Blame the QB contract but the rookie deals only last 5 years. 5 years ago I thought we had that defense what needed a QB. We thought Teddy was the guy. The reason the Bengals look good and Detroit is looking better is the fact the weβre near the top of the draft for a number of consecutive years and drafted well.

Well he would actually start in 2023 I donβt know anything about the kid. Is he worth the 23rd pick? Iβve looked at a couple of micks and donβt see him in the first rd.

Our 2024 starting QB needs to be on our roster in 2023. Unfortunately once you get past Young, Stroud and Levis, this QB draft class isn't that much, IMO. Going to be hard to have Cousins replacement drafted this year unless there's a real diamond in the rough out there. Not a big believer in the Stanford kid. The Florida kid looks like a poor man's Jamarcus Russell out there just slinging INTs left and right despite having some ungodly arm strength. I like Hendon Hooker, but he's also old for the QB class (just turned 25) and is coming off a blown out knee.

Well the QB we have now is afraid to throw the ball unless the receiver is wide open so we just need someone to follow these instructions: 1. Throw the ball to JJ
2. When in doubt, throw the ball to JJ 3. If JJ is covered, then throw the ball to JJ

That sounds like a better plan than a 3 yard throw on 4th and 8.
