Predict the Score Contest Results
The Vikings (12-3) travel to Green Bay to take on the Packers (7-8) on New Years Day. Kickoff is set for 3:25 PM CST and the game will be carried on CBS. Please reply with your guess of the final score by kickoff.
Even though the records are not that close, this game has playoff implications for both teams. The Vikings are playing to maintain the #2 Seed in the NFC Playoffs, while the Packers need to win their last two games (Vikings and Lions, both at Lambeau Field) and still get some help from Washington, NY Giants and Seattle losing. The weather forecast looks like temps around 32 and the winds around 8 mph gusting to 20.
The Packers were able to get past the Miami Dolphins in Week 16 partly due to two pretty bad interceptions by Tua down the stretch. Rodgers did just enough magic to get his team the win. The Vikings did just enough to get past the Giants in Week 16 thanks to a 61 yard game winning field goal by Greg Joseph as time ran out.
It would be great to see the Vikings play a good game for 60 minutes and knock the Packers out of playoff contention. I'm just not convinced they can do it, especially on the road. I still have too much of the 2021 season feeling about this team.
