We had 21 players participate in the Week 13 Predict the Score Contest. Congratulations to drhoades and jarheadvikesfan, who both predicted 27-21 Vikings, the closest to the actual final score of 27-22 Vikings, off by only one point. There were a number of close guesses this week. You can click on the link below to see all of the results from the Predict the Score Contest.
Predict the Score Contest Results
The Vikings (10-2) travel to Detroit to take on the Lions (5-7) this Sunday December 11th at Ford Field. Kickoff is set for Noon CST and the game will be carried on Fox. Please reply with your guess of the final score by kickoff.
The Vikings pulled out another win against a decent team last Sunday when they held on to beat the Jets. The Vikings' offense found a little groove in the first half despite a very slow start and their defense looked to be a little more aggressive holding the Jets to only two field goals in the first half, going into the locker room with a 20-6 lead. This was the game we have all been waiting for. A statement game on both sides of the ball. This team is getting things dialed in and will be a force to be reckoned with when the playoffs start! Vikings get the ball to start the second half and they are going to pick up where they left. They'll march down the field and go up by 21 points...............Oh, never mind.
I didn't get to watch the game, but the highlights of the Jets just bouncing off of the Vikings defenders were ridiculous. I was listening on the radio and you could hear the disgust in the voice of Pete Bercich. Yes, the Vikings are 10-2, but this brand of defense is why they get destroyed by teams like the Eagles and the Cowboys. The Lions are no joke on Offense. They put up 40 against the Jaguars. The Vikings better hope Kirk is on target on Sunday because they are going to need to score a bunch of points. I think the Vikings get another wake up call this week.
Vikings 31
Lions 34
